The Lab X Creations FiberLam Plus Polyester Fiberglass Laminating Resin is a high-quality, cost-effective, and less time-consuming option compared to other resins on the market. If you desire color, consistency, and quality, this is the product to choose. Our polyester resin has the perfect viscosity for your surfaces, saturating well without taking more time than necessary to cure.

While our resin's chemical reaction to surfaces can produce an offensive odor, similar to other brands, there will be no detectable odor once it has cured. It's best to keep your DIY project outdoors for a day or two, then enjoy the exceptional quality later on once it has dried out.

For optimal results, ensure the resin is catalyzed with MEKP (Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide) to cure properly. Remember that it is not compatible with polystyrene foam because it contains a styrene monomer. Curing times will be affected if the mixture is not thoroughly combined or if temperatures are lower than 72°F. The lower the temperature, the longer the curing process.

Depending on temperature and humidity, it can reach its cured stage in as quick as 4 hours but may take up to 24-72 hours depending on the amount of MEKP added or if temperatures are lower than 72°F. If temperatures are too low, it will take even longer. A heated workspace is required/highly recommended during the cooler months of the year. Optimal working temperature is above 75°F.
